Dear Citizens:
Since becoming the Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) in February 2000, I, along with my staff, have worked intensely to improve and develop many aspects of the Pendleton County Property Valuation Office.
Some of the major improvements involved modernizing the office with an up-to-date computer system that will allow for more in depth search capabilities, along with added flexibility to track numerous forms of information.
We have also established a Geographical Information System (GIS) that will take the place of the original blue line parcel maps. This system will convert the original maps to an electronic format that will allow the public to retrieve information regarding all properties in Pendleton County.
The development of a user-friendly website also has been added to better communicate and familiarize the citizens of Pendleton County with the various duties of the office. Another focus to this advancement allows financial institutions, realtors, and appraisers to instantly obtain information regarding specific properties.
Professional advancements have consistently been made to expand my knowledge and capabilities as your PVA. I have taken numerous courses through the Kentucky Department of Revenue, which have enabled me to obtain a Certified Kentucky Assessor (CKA) designation along with an advanced designation, Senior Kentucky Assessor (SKA). In addition, I have served in various capacities on the Kentucky PVA Association as well as the International Association of Assessing Officers Organization (IAAO).
I highly encourage you to stop in and allow myself and my staff to better familiarize you with the technical advancements that have been made to better serve you. These developments have made our office one of the most resourceful and efficient in Northern Kentucky.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at anytime.
Sincerely,
John E. Steele
